The Animal Welfare of Frederick County (AWLFC) is an all-volunteer, no-kill rescue organization dedicated to ending pet homelessness and ensuring humane treatment for every animal in Frederick County. Our programs include foster care and adoptions for cats and dogs; a trap/neuter/release program for feral and free-roaming cats; a monthly spay/neuter clinic for low-income residents; and, numerous other programs to help people and the animals they love.
