Welcome to St. John’s ELCA Lutheran Church 15 N Church St.,Thurmont, MD!
We are a welcoming community of people, living out our baptisms as we are “loved by God to love others.” Whoever you are--whether you are established in faith, a seeker or a doubter--there is a place for you here. We have a rich history and tradition, and at the same time we are looking to the future and discovering what it means to live out the love of Christ in the 21st century.
We worship on Sundays at 8;30 AM with a liturgical service and at 10:45 AM with a casual contemporary service. Sunday School for all ages is at 9:40 AM. 10:00 AM. First Sunday of each month we will have ONE service at 1:00 AM We have an active preschool and are the home of the Thurmont Thespians drama company. You can find information about us on our website: www.saintjohnlutheran.org, or by calling the church at 301-271-7877. Or, just drop in on Sunday for worship or the first Thursday of the month at 7:00PM in the Cozy Pub for Bible Study. We’re here for you!
